The Standard Fireworks Rajaratnam College for Women is conferred with the status of Social Entrepreneurship, Swachhta & Rural Engagement Cell (SES REC) Institution since August 2020 by the Ministry of Education (MoE). The cell is constituted with ten wings focussing on Sanitation and Hygiene, Waste Management, Water Management, Energy Management and Greenery. Environment, Entrepreneurship & Community Engagement related days are celebrated to inculcate and internalize the values of Mentoring, Social Responsibility, Swachhta and Care for Environment and Resources. The Institution conducts activities related to Swatchhta, Rural Entrepreneurship, Rural Manufacturing Networks, and Rural Technological Advancements to groom the students to become Rural Entrepreneurs. The cell targets the adopted village to implement its vision to ‘Generate self-employment through pooling of community resources’. It further guides the students to practice recycling activities which benefits the people of the village and also improves the economic status of the students.
