CODE OF ETHICS

The institution plays a vital role in preparing the students to face the highly competitive world. Apart from imparting quality education, the college sows the seeds of research in the learners’ minds. Its major mission is to promote research culture and to help the students grow strong with high ethical and moral values. The research atmosphere is made vibrant with 4 Ph.D. programmes, 5 M.Phil. programmes and 13 PG programmes. Compulsory projects introduced at PG level provide a gateway of learning towards research. Research ethics concerns the responsibility of the researchers to be honest, accountable and respectful. Researchers are responsible for the maintenance of integrity in the college. The problems that arise in supervisor – scholar relationship should be resolved through the Head of the Institution.

Responsibilities of Research Scholars

  • Ethical frameworks set by UGC and University should be strictly followed.
  • Researchers are instructed to publish their papers in research journals which prioritize quality.
  • Researchers should acknowledge the institution in their research articles.
  • Researchers are responsible for the legal issues related to copyright, patent and publication.
  • Research Departments should ensure proper support to the research scholars.
  • Faculty Members who are interested in collaborative research work with other institution should get prior permission from the Head of the Institution.

Procedure for Submission of Research Project / Dissertation:

URUKUND, Plagiarism Check Software is available in the College Library to check the originality of the research work. The research scholars who undergo research work should submit their final copy of the project/dissertation to the library for plagiarism checking. The report on the originality of the project will be generated in the library through plagiarism check software. The students have to submit the soft copy of their project / dissertation one month prior to the submission date mentioned by the Office of the Controller of Examinations in their department. The college library will check the level of plagiarism and provide the report to the concerned departments within 15 days. Depending upon the report, the students who need to rework will be given further 15 days. After revising their project/dissertation, the concerned students should submit the softcopy and get certification from the library. For this reassessment, the students should have to pay the penalty of Rs.100/- every time.
