Department Establishment:
The Department of Commerce (Professional Accounting) was established in the year2019.The Department is enriched by 3 staff members and two part time Auditors. This course is designed to enable the students to acquire advanced knowledge in subjects of the courses of Chartered Accountancy and also enable the students to pursue their CA course simultaneously with B.Com. (PA) as an additional advantage. The students are enabled to think creatively and to develop right mindset to meet the challenges of the globalised business environment. The syllabus is continuously updated keeping in mind the changes and development in the knowledge growth happening all around. Board of Studies are organised for this purpose. Department of Commerce (P A) is one of most coveted ones in terms of excellence in teaching, learning and its contribution in corporate life of the College.

Programme Outcomes are narrower statements that describe what students are expected to know and be able to do upon the graduation. These relate to the skills, knowledge and behaviour that students acquire in their study through the programmes.

PSO:Programme Specific Outcomes (PSO)
Programme Specific Outcomes denote what the students should be able to do at the time of graduation. They are programme specific. It is mandatory that each PO should be mapped to the respective PSO specified in the programme in order. By the completion of B.Com. [Professional Accounting] Programme, the learners will be able to
PSO1: apply working knowledge of generally accepted accounting and auditing procedures and techniques required for different practical situations.
PSO2: make use of analytical skills required for critical financial decisions in corporate sector.
PSO3: critically examine the mechanism of internal and external audit scenario of various business enterprises.
PSO4: be proficient in complying with provisions of income tax and GST Acts.
PSO5: exhibit high degree of leadership qualities and reporting skills acquired through apprenticeship training.
PSO6: recognize and adopt the socio- ethical responsibilities as a tax consultant in preventing tax evasion and money laundering.
PSO7: undertake continuous learning in changing business environment and maintain their competence in effective tax planning and tax.
PEO:Programme Educational Objectives (PEOs)
PEOs are broad statements that describe the career and professional achievements that the programme is preparing the graduates to achieve within the first few years after graduation. PEOs should be consistent with the mission of the Institution. PEO’s can be measured by a PO-PEO matrix. The PEO’s should evolve through constant feedback from alumnae, students, industry, management etc,. It is mandatory that each PEO should be mapped to atleast one of the POs.
